We appreciate all our volunteers! Pre-VBS, During VBS, and Post-VBS - ALL volunteers are welcome! We have opportunities for every talent, ability, and skill!
Attend scheduled work days or pick up materials and complete at home.
During VBS volunteers are REQUIRED to 1) be a First Baptist Church of Metuchen member or regular attender, 2) be Child Protection Policy approved, 3) attend training Sunday, June 29 at 12:30pm, and 3) attend Dedication Service Sunday, July 6 at 6pm. Please note: Volunteers will be placed where needed. We will do our best to accommodate your preferences. Thank you!
In order to properly plan, we must know exactly which days you will be at VBS. It is preferable that you serve all week, but we understand this is not always possible. VBS time commitment is Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 1:00 pm (1:30 pm Monday) and Friday 6:00 - 9:00 pm.
K-5 grades travel together as the Elementary Group. Choosing any of these grades will place you in Elementary. This is a required field, so if not serving During VBS, just choose any grade level.
Help us welcome our VBS families by preparing, serving, and/or cleaning up refreshments for our Closing program. Bring refreshments to church on Friday, July 11th between 1:00 and 7:00 pm.
Please check all items of interest. We need a lot of help sorting, boxing, and storing all the VBS supplies as well as putting the church and classrooms back in order. Please consider helping in this important area. Thank you!
